This image was shot through high thin clouds.
After setting up to shoot the comet, I only got 2 three minute images before it got too
cloudy. After processing the images, I noticed a faint smudge at the top of the
image. It turns out the comet was passing close to NGC 1333, a reflection
nebula in Perseus.
Guiding was done on the comet nucleus. This brings out greater detail in the comet's
tail(s) but causes the stars to trail. |
